Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn Sedgwick (born on 19th August 1965) is an American actress, producer and director. She is best known for her starring role as deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson on the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick was awarded two Emmy Awards in the years 2010 and 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. The seventh season of the series concluded on August 13, 2012. Sedgwick is also well-known for her recurring role on Brooklyn Nine-Nine as Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was nominated for the Golden Globe for her role in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film roles include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000), What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The actress also appeared in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was born in New York City, the daughter of Patricia (nee Rosenwald), who was a speech instructor and educational/family therapy therapist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick V, the venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was an Episcopalian and of English descent. Sedgwick is a self-described Jewish and has claimed that she attends at Passover seders.
